This is Fender's take on a '65 Strat built as if it never left the factory — alder body in Aged Fiesta Red, a roasted maple neck carved to the '65 "C" profile, and a rosewood board that still has that AAA figure to it. Nothing here has been artificially worn or relic'd; it's finished NOS, so the hardware, decal, and pickguard all look the way a new one would have looked walking out of the Fullerton plant that year. Under the hood it's running a hand-wound '64 Fat Strat pickup set, the kind of thing that gives a Strat its bite without sounding thin. It's a guitar built for someone who wants the '65 spec and the '65 look without chasing down an actual 60-year-old instrument.
