Gibson's J-50s are always such a joy to play, with their dry, rumbly mahogany power, perfect for rhythm playing, and a short scale that makes fingerpicking breezy, too. This 1961 J-50 is in very good condition overall, with moderate wear that is typical for an instrument its age. This guitar has undergone several repairs including a top crack from the treble side fingerboard extension to the bridge repaired with 3 cleats, a replaced bridge plate, and a repaired internal crack on the treble side waist. This example plays beautifully and delivers a warm, balanced tone.
Chipboard case included.
