When it comes to acoustic guitars, few reach pinnacle grail status higher than an original Pre-war Martin D-18. The D-18 model, known as the workhorse of bluegrass music, is a well-designed instrument that features warm tone woods and subtle aesthetics. This example is in remarkably untouched condition, a previous owner "R L" was an incredible caretaker despite not playing it. A necessary neck reset and bridge reglue was preformed on it: aswell as the gluing of two dryness cracks after rehydration. It doesn't get much cleaner than this. It may be the loudest D-18 we have ever had here; with much thanks to its tight grained Adirondack spruce supported by forward shifted scalloped x-bracing; all under its original thin finish. The sound is articulate and quite simply, a flat pickers dream.
Comes in modern Martin Hardshell case.
