Character. This 1967 Martin D-21 is one of the last of the rare D-21s made before the model was discontinued in 1969. Inch for square inch, the D-21 has more Brazilian Rosewood on it than any other model: headstock veneer, fingerboard, back and sides. The bridge on this one appears to have been replaced, but the neck was reset and given a refret. One of the coolest features of this guitar is the extremely worn finish; adorned with a "Ramblin Jack Elliott" signature. The authenticity of the signature can't be confirmed, but to do such a practice to a vintage guitar and it be well worn around it, we find it highly likely it was by the famed cowboy singer/ recording engineer of Nashville lore; this guitar sounds like it would fit in one of his tunes.
Comes in worn 1960s velvet lined Harptone Martin case.
