"The Greer Amps SPECIAL 20 is an amazing amplifier. Drawing on the sounds of a Brown F*nder Deluxe, mixed with Nick's special take on harmonic overdrive, this amplifier has rather unique tones in it! The Special 20 has sweet, chimey cleans, and aggressive overdrive, with compression when maxed out. Featuring a pair of 6V6 power tubes (this amp has 6L6's), running in fixed bias, Class A/B mode, a 5AR4 rectifier, and a 5879 pentode based preamp, this amp is truly an original, and can make you sound as unique as you've ever wanted to! The control panel features a Volume, FAC, and a Cut control.
This control setup allows the user to change the bass response of the amplifier through a 5 position rotary switch (FAC). Treble can be adjusted via the post-phase inverter Cut control. This unique setup of controls gives a wide useable range of tones...think angry Brown Deluxe, with rich harmonics, and complex, blooming overdrive!
