This is a great sounding early-60's combo that occupies much the same territory as a Tweed Tremolux, both in functionality and tone. The preamp utilizes octal 6SL7 tubes, giving it a distinct midrange character compared to the later 9-pin (12AX7) designs. The tremolo is especially deep and lush, making it a blast to use (footswitch required). Internally, the circuit remains completely original. Even the original handle is still present, hanging on for dear life. Overall, this is a fantastic-sounding vintage amp and an excellent value for the money.
While fully functional, the buyer should note that this amp has all original electronics, including electrolytic caps & 2-prong power cord. For optimal performance, whether for gigging or otherwise, servicing is recommended (cap job, etc.).
