Condition NotesSeveral areas of play wear and finish marks on the top, particularly around the upper bout, bridge, and edges. There are a few fine finish checks at the treble-side waist of the top. The back exhibits buckle rash and surface scratches, along with several small dings around the edges of the headstock also an imprint. Moderate fret wear is also present.
Description

John Slobod has earned his reputation as a master of the traditional Dreadnought, and this D-28 shows exactly why. Beautifully figured Brazilian rosewood, a perfectly voiced Adirondack spruce top, and a rich, vintage-inspired tone make it a standout for any Bluegrass player. Yet it also offers the presence, articulation, and balance of a modern master build, making it equally rewarding with a light touch or fingerstyle playing.

The comfortable neck, impeccable fit and finish, herringbone trim, and classic squared headstock stay true to the pre-war aesthetic. Already nicely opened up with a few years of play, this D-28 delivers the closest thing to vintage sound and feel without owning the real thing.
