The Collings Baby is approximately a ¾ size version of our OM, 12 ½ inches wide in the lower bout with a 24 ⅛ inch scale, and the headstock and bridge are also scaled to match. Sometimes the Baby is used as a travel guitar, but it often sees duty as a songwriter’s tool: ready at a moment’s notice and playable while seated in any position. Like other Collings acoustic models, the Baby Series is available in a variety of tonewoods and appointments. Our 2-style (Baby 2H) features East Indian rosewood back and sides with ivoroid body binding and butt wedge, herringbone top purfling, a “zipper” backstrip, diamonds and squares fingerboard inlays, and a more intricate 2-style rosette."
