Divided By 13 is one of the longest-standing boutique amp builders in the U.S., founded in the early 2000s by Fred Taccone. The CCC 9/15 pays homage to classic Tweed-era Fender tones along with the option for some British flavor, switchable between 6V6 (9w) and EL84 (15w) power tubes. "Combining the versatility of our CJ 11 preamp with the dual 6V6/EL84 power section of the JRT 9/15, the CCC 9/15 delivers an impressive range of classic tones inspired by low wattage U.S. and UK designs pioneered in 1950s and 60s. Inspired by the iconic 1950s-era 1×12 tweed combo, which features a single tone control limited to treble frequencies, the CCC 9/15 preamp takes it further with both treble and bass filters, along with a master volume and boost circuit. The added bass control allows for fine-tuning of lower frequencies, enhancing clarity and increasing headroom when the amp is driven into saturation, which is crucial for lower-wattage circuits used at live performance levels.
