Description

This 1998 Fender Custom Shop ’60 Relic Stratocaster dates to the Cunetto era, the early collaboration between the Fender Custom Shop and Vince Cunetto that helped establish the relic concept as a serious part of the vintage guitar market. Finished in Sunburst over an alder body, it has the lightly aged look and feel that made these late-’90s relics so influential, with checking, wear, and patina handled in a restrained way. The neck is John Cruz stamped, tying it to one of the builders whose work from this period continues to draw attention among Custom Shop enthusiasts.

Equipped with Texas Special pickups, it delivers the sharp attack and scooped character expected from a good Strat while adding a little extra midrange presence. Original vintage-style tuners, electronics, and finish remain intact.
