Description

The F-5G is Gibson’s modern take on the classic F-5. It features an unbound ebony fingerboard, a comfortable 14-degree radius, no pickguard, and a shortened fingerboard extension, paired with a carved Sitka spruce top and figured red maple back and sides for a strong, responsive tone. This mandolin offers excellent projection and plays beautifully. Refined contours and updated construction further enhance its acoustic performance, all finished in a Dark Burst gloss nitrocellulose lacquer. This example shows honest playwear from being well loved, including pick and fret wear, but nothing that affects playability.
