Modifications/RepairsHeadstock crack repaired at CVG, converted from trapeze to stop tailpiece, "Music City (Glaser) bridge, switch and wiring harness replaced, output jack replaced, pickups replaced (70s Gibson), pots are 70/80s replacements. Tuner buttons replaced, refret, new nut.
This 1953 Gibson Les Paul Goldtop has been converted to a stop tailpiece, enhancing its sustain and playability while retaining its vintage character. It has undergone a professional headstock repair and features a set of 1970s P90 pickups, delivering classic, dynamic tones with plenty of warmth and bite. The beautifully aged gold finish, mahogany body with a carved maple top, and chunky ’50s neck profile contribute to its rich resonance and comfortable feel. With its rich resonance, vintage mojo, and historical significance, this Goldtop embodies the timeless appeal of Gibson’s early solid-body designs. For the full repair history, check out the Specs tab. Includes an Ameritage hardshell case.
