1960 Gibson Les Paul Standard in sunburst finish. In the world of collectable guitars the sunburst Les Paul is the pinnacle of collectibility. This example does not disappoint. This is an early '60 with beautiful '59 style paint. The color on this guitar is absolutely killer. The guitar features a neck carve that's definitely more '59 style than the later thinner necks that are features of the later '60 bursts. The guitar's refret gives it the best of both worlds... What's better than great sounding old wood with perfect playability from new frets? Speaking of great sounding guitars, this one has tone for days. Someone back in the day modded the guitar a little bit by flipping the magnet in the neck pickup. So, if Peter Green out of phase tones are your thing this guitar is good to go. The neck, like other early '60 examples we've seen is a full carve "C' shape and it has a large heel. The pickups on this guitar sound great with the bridge pickup being ready to rock at 9.0K. Both pickups are double black bobbins. The guitar comes in its original brown hardshell case.
