This 1948 Gibson LG-2 has the warm, balanced voice and compact feel that make these early postwar flattops so appealing. The Sunburst finish shows plenty of natural checking and pickguard wear, giving the guitar an honest vintage appearance. The bridge and several braces have been reglued, with a small crack above the soundhole on the treble side and a shaved saddle also noted. The neck angle is approaching the point where a neck reset will be needed, though the guitar remains playable in its current condition. Overall, it is a good vintage example with plenty of character and a seasoned acoustic voice.
Includes modern hard shell case.
