This 1967 Melody Maker comes in the very cool Fire Engine Red finish and keeps things simple with a single pickup—ready for rock ’n’ roll. The pickup measures around 7.2k, delivering a great balance that works well for both overdriven tones and clean sounds. The bridge has been replaced to improve intonation. At some point there was a crack on the lower portion of the body that has since been repaired. During the repair the area was taped off, leaving a visible line across the body where the lower half now has more of a matte look. The electronics were removed for the repair and reinstalled afterward, and they remain original. This is a solid player-grade Melody Maker that plays great and sounds fantastic. Includes chipboard case.
