The non-reverse Firebird brought a different personality to Gibson's offset lineup, trading the original neck-through construction for a set-neck design while introducing a body shape all its own. This 1965 Firebird I is finished in Sunburst and pairs a lightweight mahogany body with dual P-90 pickups that deliver plenty of clarity and bite without sacrificing warmth. The simple control layout and comfortable proportions make it an engaging guitar to spend time with, whether plugged in or played acoustically. This example comes from the '65 transition period, so while it does have a skinnier nut width, it features a Brazilian rosewood fingerboard. It has a replacement switch, and the vibrola tailpiece has been removed in favor of a stopbar. Additionally, another strap button has been added to the bass side shoulder.
Includes vintage hard shell case (Fair condition - lots of duct tape)
