Gibson Southern Jumbo 1969, Sunburst

This 1969 Gibson Southern Jumbo has a ton of vintage charm, with its classic Sunburst finish and the warm, woody tone these old Gibsons are loved for. It has a rich, full-bodied sound with a sweet midrange, plenty of natural resonance, and a wonderfully organic feel under the fingers. Whether played softly or with a little more punch, it has that earthy, seasoned voice that only comes with age. The finish shows beautiful checking throughout, along with dings, marks, and chips that tell the story of over five decades of use. The guitar is in good, stable condition and has had two top crack repairs secured with three cleats, a bridge reglue, and a bridge plate repair. An honest, well-aged vintage instrument with plenty of soul, character, and musicality.
