Marshall JMP Model 1961 Bluesbreaker 50w Tremolo Rare 4x10 Combo 1970, Black

The model 1961 “Bluesbreaker” earned its nickname and legendary status largely through Eric Clapton’s groundbreaking work with John Mayall & the Bluesbreakers, helping define the voice of British blues. The tremolo has been disabled, which is common for Bluesbreakers, as many owners prefer the more uninhibited JMP sound.

This is the rare 4x10 configuration, making it a model 1961 Bluesbreaker. It features the iconic basketweave grill cloth, along with a set of rare Celestion 9384 10" Greenbacks, all retaining their original Pulsonic cones. While it does show minor signs of previous wear, including some of the writing on the control panel having worn away, it looks great for its age and sounds even better. Those fond of the darker vintage Marshall sound will love this amp.

Internally, it has stayed practically all original aside from a changed power cord and replaced power transformer. While the make and model aren’t present, it’s an older lay-down-style transformer that matches the original voltages perfectly. Please see the circuit photos for further details.
