There’s no exaggeration in saying that the 100w plexi panel Marshall is the most iconic amp in rock and roll history. This 1968 Marshall Super Lead marks the beginning of the JMP era, with Marshall solidifying its reputation as the go-to brand for performance-grade amps, trusted by some of the greatest guitar players in history.
This amp remains mostly original where it counts, and has a professionally converted Bulgin port replaced by the standard US IEC-style power jack. The electrolytic caps have been replaced, and while it's difficult to say for certain, it's likely that the carbon comp cathode resistors have all been changed. Additionally, a silver mica 300pF cap has been replaced in the tone stack, along with a .68µF cap in the cathode follower section. The bright channel volume pot has had its cap replaced, though it's been disabled, which is a common modification to tame the brightness. Please refer to the pictures for further details.
