This prewar 000-28 is a remarkable example of why 1930s Martins are so revered. Even after more than eight decades, this 1937 model still delivers that hauntingly beautiful tone and graceful presence that define the era’s finest instruments. It has had a few thoughtful updates over the years—replaced bridge pins, a new nut, and some light overspray—yet it remains wonderfully true to its original spirit. The neck has been professionally reset, greatly improving playability and intonation, and the fingerboard has been refretted, setting it up for many more years of music. Condition-wise, it’s excellent for its age, showing only minor wear: light scratches and small dings on the back and sides.
This guitar comes housed in a Calton case.
