Tech NotesAction at 12th fret is ideal, 7/64" on Bass and 5/64" on Treble, the current neck angle is set to the shaved bridge with a 1/16th inch saddle reveal (still having break angle). If a customer wanted to have this guitar closer to factory specifications, it would need to have a full height bridge made, which would then necessitate a neck reset. We are leaving the decision of this work up to the next buyer, but it currently plays wonderfully.
From the last year of herringbone trim, but paired with first high-grade batch of Sitka spruce, this 1946 000-28 is in beautiful condition. Remarkably, this one only has a small pickguard shrink related crack. In 1946, this would have been the top of the line non-dreadnaught guitar, and you can tell its previous owners took great care of their investment. Guitars like this are becoming rarer and rarer to find, only 134 000-28s were made with the combination of herringbone and Sitka spruce. There is a warmth that comes from the Brazilian Rosewood and Sitka Spruce combination that help explain why so many players have chosen it for the studio or living room. This example plays effortlessly with medium action, see "Tech Notes" for further details.

Comes in Original Case Company Hardshell Case.
