Martin Custom Shop 10th Anniversary Jumbo M Acoustic Bass 1989, Black

This 1989 Martin Custom Shop 10th Anniversary Jumbo M Acoustic Bass is finished in Black, giving the large-bodied instrument a distinctive look that stands apart from Martin’s more familiar Natural finishes. The M body provides plenty of surface area for a full, resonant acoustic response while remaining more compact than a traditional dreadnought. The bridge has been reglued and a maple bridge plate cap has been added, with the bass showing finish checking, light buckle rash, and some Sharpie touch-up. It presents in fair condition overall and offers an interesting glimpse at Martin’s early Custom Shop work in the acoustic bass format.
