This D-18 has undergone a number of restorations and repairs over the years, but today it presents as a wonderfully vintage and well-loved instrument with all the character and charm you'd hope for from a guitar of this era. The refinish appears to be quite old and has clearly seen decades of playing since, giving the instrument an authentic, naturally aged appearance.
Recently refretted, it plays beautifully and offers a smooth, comfortable playing experience across the fingerboard.
Tonally, it's everything players seek in a great 1940s D-18: full-bodied and responsive, with powerful, articulate lows, clear and focused mids, and complementary highs that round out the voice beautifully. The result is a balanced yet commanding sound with excellent projection and vintage character.
