This wartime Martin F-2 archtop is an exceptionally rare find, with only twelve produced in 1942. Even more unique, this example boasts a natural finish, likely making it the only known natural F-2 ever produced. Crafted from solid Brazilian Rosewood back and sides it offers a dry projection and rich vintage harmonic complexity. It's benefitted from a neck reset as well as an older refret. The frets are low, but still playable. Cosmetically, it has substantial pick wear where the pickguard was, significant buckle rash, a hole where a strap button was previously installed, as well as general scratches and dings throughout.
Includes vintage hard shell case.
*When using Affirm, we charge an additional 3.5% fee on the total at checkout. The majority of our instruments are consignment, where CVG keeps a small percentage of each sale.
