This 1930 Triolian delivers the raw, dry voice that made early Nationals indispensable to pre-war blues and string band musicians. Its steel body - in a handsome pea green polychrome finish - carries the honest wear you expect from an instrument built to work, not to polish. The single cone resonator and biscuit bridge produce a focused midrange punch with beautiful string separation and headroom. Though the guitar has had a neck reset, refret, and replaced binding, the original hardware and novel pearwood fretboard remain intact and functional. This is an attractive and tasteful example of National’s first major resonator line that sounds, looks, and feels the part. Includes HSC.
