Description

Northfield’s NFS-F5WN is an F-style mandolin built around traditional construction with a little extra room at the nut. This 2024 example pairs an Adirondack Spruce top with figured Maple back, sides, and neck, along with an Ebony fingerboard and bridge. The wide nut and radiused fingerboard give the neck a comfortable feel, while the tone-bar bracing follows the classic approach Northfield uses for the S Series. Finished in Amber, it has a clean, understated look that lets the figured Maple and F-style body do most of the work.
