The Patrick James Eggle 96 Carve Top is a refined take on the familiar double-cut electric, with a carved top and highly figured woods giving the design a distinctly custom-built feel. This 2019 example combines an Ash and Redwood body with an English Sycamore neck and fingerboard, finished in Tiger Eye to bring out the character of the wood. Gotoh locking tuners add a practical touch to the carefully considered hardware package. It’s a modern, highly individualized instrument that shows Eggle’s approach to blending familiar guitar shapes with unusual wood combinations and detailed construction.
