This 2011 PRS Dweezil Zappa Limited Run in Faded Indigo is a genuinely rare piece, one of just 50 built through PRS's Private Stock program, developed hand-in-hand with Dweezil himself. Its mandolin-inspired body shape is unlike anything else in the PRS catalog, pairing a curly maple top with a mahogany back and a shorter lower horn that makes the full 24-fret ebony board genuinely accessible. Loaded with 57/08 pickups, it covers everything from thick, sustaining lead tones to that out-of-phase "quack" Dweezil himself singled out as a favorite, all topped off with a playful bass and treble clef inlay nodding to the Zappa family's musical legacy.
