Hand-built in Russia by Sergei Novikov in the 1990s, the MKX is a JCM800-style amplifier. If you’re familiar with Sovtek amps, the build style and components are quite similar—along with the tone. They offer incredible value for the money, especially considering the solid construction and stalwart Russian transformers. This amp shows light signs of wear and still looks great for its age!
Thankfully the amp has a 220V to 115V step-down transformer installed inside the cabinet, so nothing additional is needed to run with US outlets.
