This 2022 Serracini Baritone is a truly special multiscale baritone from Davide Serracini. It has an incredible combination of power, clarity, and note separation, with a low end that feels deep and authoritative while still keeping every note articulate. The 28" to 27" multiscale makes a huge difference—the low B has plenty of power and definition, while the shorter treble scale keeps the upper strings feeling smooth, natural, and surprisingly easy to play. The Madagascar rosewood body and Italian spruce top give it a rich, complex voice with beautiful sustain and an almost effortless response. It feels exceptionally smooth in the hands, more like playing a familiar flattop than a large baritone. Davide’s attention to detail really shows in the geometric appointments tying together the headstock, rosette, and end graft, along with the gold EVO frets and mahogany neck.
