Thompson OM Mad A 2021, Sunburst

This 2021 Thompson OM Mad A in Sunburst is a beautiful custom build inspired by the Adirondack spruce and Madagascar rosewood OM Preston Thompson made for Billy Strings. Guitar great Trey Hensley suggested the Norman Blake finish and custom pickguard, taking inspiration from the custom Thompson built for him. The sunburst finish is even more striking in person, with rich, warm colors and wood grain that really come to life outside of photos. The abalone rosette is a beautiful detail, complemented by abalone-capped ebony bridge pins that pull the whole look together. The craftsmanship and attention to detail on this guitar are something special, and it's one of those instruments that really stands out when you see it in person. It was fitted with a K&K Pure Mini pickup at the Thompson shop. The guitar is in like-new condition, with only light scratches on the top and one small ding on peghead face.
