Condition NotesAfter the extensive repairs the guitar is stable and playable.
This 1938 Washburn 5246 in Natural is a well-seasoned pre-war acoustic with a dry, woody voice and plenty of vintage character. The guitar has undergone extensive restoration, including a neck reset, bridge reglue, refret, replacement nut, saddle, and bridge pins, along with repairs to cracks throughout the top, back, and sides. The pickguard has also been reglued, and additional cleats were added for structural support. After all of the work, the guitar is stable and playable, offering the unique tone, feel, and character that only an instrument from the 1930s can provide. A fascinating piece of American guitar history with plenty of personality.
