Fender Ultra Stratocaster 1991, Firestorm Red

This 1991 Fender Stratocaster Ultra is finished in the striking Firestorm Red, one of the more distinctive colors offered during the early years of the Ultra series. Positioned at the top of Fender’s production Stratocaster lineup, the Ultra featured an alder body with figured maple top and back, a maple neck, and an ebony fingerboard with abalone dot inlays. Its unique Lace Sensor pickup configuration pairs a Blue neck pickup and Gold middle pickup with a dual Red bridge humbucker, offering an unusually broad range of sounds through its specialized switching system and TBX tone control. Additional appointments include a Wilkinson roller nut, Schaller locking tuners, and a Deluxe tremolo system. A particularly distinctive early-'90s American-made Stratocaster, the Ultra combines familiar Fender styling with a more elaborate set of appointments and electronics.
