Description

The 2008 Custom Shop ES-335 is a particularly nice example of Gibson’s take on the classic semi-hollow, with the Walnut finish giving the familiar design a darker, more understated look. The traditional laminated Maple body and Maple center block are paired with a Mahogany neck and Rosewood fingerboard, keeping the construction firmly rooted in the classic ES-335 formula. A pair of Gibson humbuckers and the familiar four-knob control layout provide plenty of versatility, while the bound body and dot inlays keep the presentation clean and understated. This is a great choice for someone looking for a finish evoking a classic 70s style Gibson semi-hollow.
