This 2016 Gibson Custom Shop Vic’s “Blood on the Tracks” ’59 Les Paul is a limited-edition recreation of a late-1950s Burst, finished in Sunburst with aging inspired by the well-worn character of a vintage original. Built around a mahogany body and carved figured maple top, it pairs a mahogany neck with a rosewood fingerboard and classic trapezoid inlays. Custom Shop attention to period details extends to the finish, hardware, and vintage-style appointments, while the humbucker configuration delivers the thick, responsive voice that has made late-’50s Les Pauls so coveted. Created for Vic DaPra’s celebrated vintage-inspired program, this model brings a specific and highly collectible interpretation of the classic ’59 design.
