Gibson Historic Select “Stick Shift” 1959 Les Paul Reissue 2015, Sunburst

The Historic Select series took Gibson's recreation process a step further by focusing on individual vintage Les Pauls, and the "Stick Shift" is based on one of the more recognizable originals from 1959. This 2015 example wears a beautiful burst finish over a figured maple top and features hide glue construction, historically accurate plastics and hardware, and a pair of Custombucker pickups that complement its lively acoustic response. Every detail, from the top carve to the neck profile, was developed to mirror the original instrument as closely as possible while preserving its own unique character. The result is a Les Paul that captures the personality of a specific Burst, offering a different perspective from Gibson's standard Historic reissues. A stoptail bridge is included along with the installed Bigsby.
