This 1941 J-55 is an extremely rare wartime Gibson with a handful of thoughtful repairs to keep it in solid playing shape. Built with a mighty Red spruce top and mahogany back and sides, this guitar has a commanding vintage tone. It seems to have remained largely unplayed throughout its history with little to no play wear or fret wear to note. Our in-house repair team shaved the bridge and raised the nut to ensure optimal playability. Down the line, thus guitar could benefit from a neck reset, but is playing well in its current configuration. Don't miss out on this legendary Kalamazoo-born piece.
Includes Calton hard shell case.
