This 1981 Gibson Les Paul Custom is finished in Silverburst, a distinctive and rare color that suits the bold appointments of the Custom model. The mahogany body and maple top are paired with a three-piece maple neck and bound ebony fingerboard with large pearl block inlays. Two Gibson humbuckers provide the familiar full-range Les Paul Custom voice, with independent volume and tone controls and a three-way selector keeping the layout straightforward. A Tune-O-Matic bridge, stop tailpiece, and sealed Gibson tuners complete this late-Norlin-era Custom. Cosmetically, this example is nearly mint condition! There are some light finish scrapes, some buckle rash and finish chipping on the neck, but overall it remains exceptional.
