This 1931 Martin 00-40H is a rare and exquisite example of pre-war Martin craftsmanship. Originally built as a Hawaiian model, it features stunning tonewoods, including a Brazilian rosewood back and sides, an Adirondack spruce top, and intricate Style 40 appointments—ivoroid binding, and a beautiful slotted headstock. With its 12-fret body and wide neck, this guitar delivers a rich, open voice with exceptional warmth and detail. This example has been expertly converted for Spanish style play and has undergone several key repairs to ensure its playability for years to come. Check out the Specs tab for the full repair history. Includes a 50s hardshell case.
