Description

This ’97 R8 features a spectacular ’58-spec build, highlighted by a very cool and unique cherry finish with an almost watermelon-like hue that feels perfectly in line with the Gibson Custom, Art & Historic aesthetic of the ’90s.

The neck carve is an excellent representation of a true ’58 profile — full in hand yet still easy to navigate and exceptionally comfortable to play. Tonally, the ’57 Classics are clear, creamy, and wide open, offering a versatile and highly dynamic range of sounds.

This particular 1997 example remains in very good condition, showing only minor signs of age and wear. Comes with the original hard-shell case (OHSC) and certificate of authenticity (COA).
