This 2011 Gibson Custom Shop ’57 Les Paul Reissue revisits the earliest humbucker-era Les Paul Standard, pairing goldtop-era construction details with a vibrant sunburst finish more commonly associated with later models. Built with the substantial neck profile and lightweight mahogany body construction that helped define the late-’50s Les Pauls, the guitar carries the thick midrange response and soft attack that have kept these reissues central to Gibson’s Custom Shop lineup for decades. Burstbucker pickups provide a slightly rawer, unpotted character that suits the instrument well, retaining plenty of upper-mid clarity alongside the expected warmth and compression. This example shows honest use throughout, with light player wear across the top along with several dings and areas of light buckle rash on the back. The aging remains natural overall and gives the guitar the look of an instrument that has been regularly played in controlled environments.
Includes OHSC and COA.
