Tech NotesWould benefit structurally and aesthetically from a custom rosewood bridge
With the flare of this pickguard, you can picture George Jones or Tammy Wynette playing this '63 Gibson Country Western. That being said, its classic Gibson aesthetics and sounds super open. A unique key to this one's sound is that it has a factory plastic bridge, like other 1963 J-45s, J-50s and Hummingbirds. The top in this era is also gently braced with thin short lightweight spruce braces and a lightweight plywood bridge plate. It's all an interesting mix, but sounds phenomenal when paired with the thud of the rosewood saddle. While many replace the plastic bridge for a custom made rosewood bridge, we acknowledge that this thing is all original and there may be a customer out there that would like one exactly as it might sound in the 60s.

Comes in original chipboard case with original hangtag
