Gibson Dove Custom 1978, Natural

This 1978 Gibson Dove Custom is a special piece from the Nathaniel Rateliff collection, with the warm, powerful, and unmistakable character of a well-loved vintage Gibson. It has a full, resonant voice with plenty of depth, projection, and clarity. The guitar has clearly been played and shows honest signs of its history, including heavy wear on the top above the pickguard, dings and scratches throughout, finish worn from the neck from years of playing, and visible signs where music note stickers were previously applied to the upper bout on the bass side and lower bout on the treble side. Previous work includes bridge plate plugs, bridge reglue, neck reset, finish touch-up around the heel joint, crack repair around the soundhole, pickguard reglue, and a replaced saddle. It is in good, stable condition and has received a CVG setup. The guitar is equipped with a K&K Pure Mini pickup and comes with a Hoffee carbon fiber case. With its vintage Gibson tone, extensive playing history, and unique character, this is a special Dove Custom with plenty of story behind it.
